Mysteries International are running the Its A Costa Knockout Tournament on the Market Place at La Marina, From the 5th July Every Saturday for 6 Weeks in aid of three charities: Paul Cunningham Nurses, K9 Animal Charity and San Fulgencio Youth Club
Our Object is to raise funds for these very worthy charities and this is being done in a number of ways, including:- Team Entry Fees Gate Entry Fees Corporate sponsorship of the individual games. We are using large inflatable equipment to host an event each Saturday from 5pm to 9pm in the style of the seventies hit TV Show Its A Knockout. Teams can enter from businesses, bars and clubs or just groups of individuals wanting to have a lot of fun for a very low cost. All profits from the events will go to the three charities we have chosen for this pilot event. Mysteries International have a great deal of experience in working with this kind of event management and will do everything they can to ensure a safe and fun event for all those involved. Widespread Media Coverage has helped to boost the awareness of this including newspaper coverage from the Round Town News, The Coastrider, Sunshine FM, REM fm, Sol Productions And the Whole Event is being filmed by 5 camera crews from the brand new TV station VIVA Tv to be aired on Telemicro in September or October of this year
The first 4 Heats are for adults, with mixed sex teams of between 6 and 8 members, The winners of each heat will go forward to the Grand Final on the 9th of August as will the two highest scoring runners up. The fifth week is during the Fiesta celebrations in La Marina and is the childrens event on the Saturday afternoon, with teams from all local youth organisations being invited to take part. Following the Grand Final we hope to host a party in the square with local bands and acts performing on the stage. Trade stands and other attractions will ensure that there is plenty to do for all the visitors to the events.
